Very Black Friday

While working at Edit 19 in 2014, I collaborated with Jim Solan on this advert for The Gate Films and their client Very.

My role was to build the 3D environment, logo, and glass neon sign, as well as handle the lighting and texturing. Jim was responsible for the fluid simulation and compositing, with our work coming together seamlessly in the final piece.

Created in Cinema 4D with the physical renderer, RealFlow, and Nuke, the project was a technical challenge given the tools available at the time. Looking back, it’s a piece I’m proud of — not only for the collaboration, but because the render quality still holds up today.
